Hi,
Fantastic podcast as usual. I hadn't heard Camille before but I think I'll be off to get this album right now - it's right up my street. For me that was the reason to say to myself that I was glad I downloaded it.
Also thanks again for your submission to the contrast podcast.
Oh. Cup of tea. Thanks. Slurp.
Tim
Thanks for all this - Camille is something like the 4th best selling album on amazon.fr at the moment, so it's amazing it hasn't cropped up here in the same way (thinks me). Glad you liked it.
You wait until the whole SASR breakfast posse joins in, it will be unbearable...
Cheers Jeff - locations are important. I think I've got you listed a bit more accurately now.
Hi! great podcats man. thanks! Camille is very famous here in France. You should see onr of her videos, she is really amazing!
Merci pour ça, ami. Oui, je sais que Camille est beaucoup plus célèbre en France, et elle mérite d'être connue ailleurs! Je n'ai vu pas ses videos - j'essayerai de trouver un. Merci encore.
I've decided this one is my favorite out of the 5...especially the second half. I had never heard anything by Camille before and will definitely invest in some of her albums. That song with Brigitte Bardot is what I consider "Craptacular" The singing is atrocius and yet it is a very catchy song! I'd love to see the video. I also love the one by Fudgie and Fu Fu as well. It sounds like a cross between They Might Be Giants and Paul and Storm.
Well thank you for the review. It's great that Camille has picked up a few anglophone friends thanks to SASR. If you haven't already you should check out her contributions to Nouvelle Vague (tracks 3, 4, 6 & 8) - but then the whole album is worth a listen.
And watch the video when you get a chance. Craptastic.
